Frequently Asked Questions
-
We review each recommended service individually instead of judging the repair order by its total price alone. Our evaluation considers the vehicle’s mileage, service history, manufacturer recommendations, technician notes, available measurements, parts pricing, labor charges, and the possible consequences of postponing the work.
We then organize the recommendations from highest to lowest cost and assign three separate scores: Importance, Value, and Potential Savings.
-
What information affects the scores?
The quality of the repair order matters. Measurements, photographs, test results, diagnostic notes, part numbers, labor hours, and warranty details allow us to make a more complete evaluation.
When important information is missing, we identify the questions the customer should ask before authorizing the work.
-
Yes. The scorecard can help you organize a respectful, fact-based conversation with the service advisor.
You can use it to ask questions such as:
Which recommendations must be completed immediately?
What measurements support this recommendation?
Are alternative parts available?
Is any labor duplicated between these services?
Does the repair include a parts-and-labor warranty?
Can any lower-priority items be scheduled later?
The goal is not to create conflict with the repair facility. It is to make sure you understand the work before authorizing it.
